TransVault Introduces software for Easy Email Archive Migration from EMC's EmailXtender.

TransVault Software continues to expand its library of connectors – they’ve just added support for EMC’s EmailXtender to facilitate high-speed, automated migrations from (or to) EmailXtender. The new version also supports EMC Centera.

Architecturally, TransVault consists of a performance-optimized data migration engine that processes large numbers of archived emails in parallel, applying conversion and transformation when required. The library of connectors enable fast and easy migrations from legacy systems to new target systems. Connectors presently support EAS, Enterprise Vault, OpenText/IXOS, and EmailXtender. An extraction that might takes months using these products’ native tools may be completed in days using TransVault.

Next up for TransVault? V4.3, due early in 2009, will include API support for Symantec Enterprise Vault, delivering the tightest, most seamless archive-to-archive data transfer capability. Uniquely, this version also offers the ability to convert ‘legacy’ shortcuts in users’ mailboxes so that they work seamlessly with the new EV archive service. Note also that it was co-developed with EV’s product management team.

TransVault welcomes connector requests from customers, so please contact us if you need to migrate from your existing email archive system.
